Dental Care Asia - Makati

I'm due for another prophylaxis but I do not know where to go. My dentist & ortho for the past 4 years is in Kuala Lumpur. How I miss Dr. Fong but obviously I cannot fly to KL just to see my dentist.

Checking our Company-accredited dentists, there are 17 of them in Makati. But where to go? ... I've tried my luck with Dra. Elaine Aurea Silva whose clinic is in Cityland Herrera Tower in Salcedo Village ... Unfortunately, the clinic didn't give a good first impression ... I had my appointment suppossedly at 10am ... they even sent me SMS to confirm ... I rushed to their clinic to meet the time ... When I reached the clinic there were 3 other patients ... I thought they were walk-in, I was very sure that I would be entertained first because I had an appointment ... 11am came, they called 1 of the 3 patients ... 12:00 - another patient ... I don't think I can wait 1 more hour for my turn ... It was already lunch time, 2 hours wait and there is still another patient before me ... If I look at the pattern, my turn would come at 2pm! ... I called the attention of the receptionist ... I asked her how come they texted me at 9am to confirm my 10am appointment, but it's already 12nn and I'm still waiting ... She then informed me that the 8am patient took longer than expected ... I told her this is not an acceptable excuse, when they schedule the appointment they should ask what procedure or treatment is to be done so that they can allot enough time before the next appointment ... An hour wait would be tolerable, but 3 hours wait is not right!

Because of this experience, I asked my colleagues which dentist they would recommend. I don't want to try my luck anymore. One of them asked me to try "Dental Care Asia" which is in the 1-Worldwide Health Clinic in Vernida Bldg Amorsolo St Legaspi Village Makati ... My appointment was at 2pm ... I arrived a good 5 minutes before the appointment ... They immediately gave me a form to fill-up, quite extensive than the usual forms, it even include medical history ... At 2pm, I was already ushered to the clinic ... so far so good .... The dentist then introduced herself, Dra Maria Rosanna Jover ... She checked the form that I filled-up and asked follow-up questions ... Then, started the Prophy ... Afterwhich, she checked my teeth ... She informed me how many fillings I will require which is 23 in total! Gosh, so many! ... She explained that maybe they were caused by my previous braces ... After scheduling the next appointment, I'm done - happy and satisfied with my treatment! :)


What I like about Dra Jover (Dental Care Asia):

• friendly
• very thorough in her treatment
• patient in checking each and every tooth
• won't force you to do your fillings in her clinic, she's even willing to share her findings with the dentist of my choice if I prefer another dentist

What I don't like about Dra Jover (Dental Care Asia):

• so far none, all thumbs up!
